Sensado Cigar Company (with roots to CAO Cigars when based in Nashville, TN) spent more than 5 years researching tobaccos, manufacturers and the marketplace in an attempt to recreate those special feelings one gets when they light their cigars around the world. Debuting in January 2016, Sensado’s first release(s): The City Series, aimed to heighten all five of your senses with four cigars; the New York, Shanghai, Rome and the Miami.

The City Series gives the look and feel of regional releases (where you have to travel or know someone in another city to obtain the collection), but with the convenience of being able to purchase all four in one stop.

The New York – Churchill / Wrapper-Connecticut Ecuador / Binder & Filler-Nicaragua          mild to medium body and strength smoke

The Miami – Robusto / Wrapper-Brazil Apapiraca / Binder & Filler-Nicaragua           medium to full strength smoke with a transitioning body

The Shanghai – Petit Corona / Wrapper-Indonesia / Binder & Filler-Nicaragua         medium in strength and body and also a transitioning cigar

The Rome – Torpedo / Wrapper-Connecticut Ecuador Dark / Binder & Filler-Nicaragua         mild in strength and medium in body

This is an interesting line of cigars and can show you how blends can be unique in taste with just the slightest change of the wrappers, binders, and fillers and the volume of each tobacco leaf used in a cigar. Also, what do I mean by transitioning cigar? Some cigars are made to remain with the same strength and flavor throughout the smoke. But some cigars are made to release different nuances from the first light  at the foot through the middle and to the end of the smoking experience. I feel that The Miami and The Shanghai are made this way. I express it because I want you to go through the entire cigar so that you are able to taste the different experiences.
